My
Childhood
I was born in Ottowa, Ontario,
Canada in the year 1970. My father found himself there during the Vietnam
War. I then moved with my mom to New York City when I was still very
young. We moved around several times and lived in many different states
before settling down in Dallas, Texas. I currently mantain citizenship
in both the US and Canada.
I was always an avid science
fiction fan. I would come home every day after school and watch "StarTrek".
I also collected any StarWars parafanalia I could get my hands
on. My cousin and I would exchange flight plans and star charts in the
mail (he lived in New Mexico). Click on the picture below

I loved animals. Much to
my parents dismay I would regularly bring home abandoned cats and dogs.
I also loved to go camping, which is one of the reasons I stayed in
Girl Scouts for 10 years (besides the cookies). In high school I picked
up playing the viola and joined the orchestra. I developed a fond attraction
to classical music.
I also have three younger
brothers. The oldest one is 15 years younger than I, so I always considered
myself a only child.
My
Adult Life
I now have a 11 year old
daughter named Lauren. It is wonderful being a mom, but very time consuming.
I am just now going back to school to finish my degree. I originally
wanted to be a history teacher, but after being out in the work force,
I fell into a technical writing job. I really enjoy it and would like
to branch out into E-Learning.
I bought my first house a
year and a half ago. I really enjoy being a home owner and decorating
as I please. As an
adult I have really developed a desire to travel and experience other
cultures and their history and architecture - thought it seems to take
a lot of money, which I don't have.
I am a committed Christian
but I am not committed to any particular denomination. If I could give
you any advice from my own experiences, I would say, life is going to
be full of challenges but just make sure you handle them with the best
possible attitude (and don't marry too young).
And, I almost forgot, I
have an extreme addiction to chocolate! Click on the picture
